EU/EEA citizens shall be issued with a work permit from the Employment and Training Corporation in a timely manner (seven (7) to ten (10) working days).
In the case of non- EU/EEA citizens (“third country nationals”) a work permit will only be issued if the employer and/or the applicant can show that there are no suitably qualified Maltese nationals available for employment.
